Description

Instigator Extended Motorcycle Floorboards – Black Billet Aluminum

Upgrade your motorcycle’s foot platform with Instigator extended motorcycle floorboards, designed to combine precision-machined aluminum construction, a black anodized finish, and slip-resistant rubber inserts. Manufactured from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, these extended floorboards offer a distinctive custom appearance and a larger platform than stock floorboards in the specified driver and passenger configurations.

Designed as replacements for compatible stock Harley-Davidson floorboards, these boards mount using the original hardware. Their black pyramid-top rubber inserts feature a multidirectional pattern intended to support grip, while the extended platform dimensions provide additional foot placement space compared with stock designs.

6061-T6 Billet Aluminum Construction

The Instigator floorboards are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, providing a solid metal platform with a precision-machined appearance. Their black anodized finish gives the boards a dark, custom look that can complement other black motorcycle components and accessories.

Designed for street riding applications, these floorboards combine aluminum construction with rubber inserts to create a functional rider foot platform. The extended configuration distinguishes them from standard floorboards by providing additional length and, for the driver boards, extra width.

Extended Driver Floorboards for Additional Foot Space

The driver floorboards extend 2-1/2 inches farther at both the front and rear and are 3/4 inch wider than stock floorboards. This expanded platform provides additional space for foot placement compared with the original dimensions.

Riders considering extended floorboards should compare the dimensions with their existing setup and check clearance around nearby components. Confirm that the selected configuration is compatible with the motorcycle before purchasing.

Extended Passenger Floorboards

The passenger floorboards extend 1-9/16 inches farther at the front and 1-9/16 inches farther at the rear. This extended design provides a longer passenger platform while maintaining the Instigator range’s black styling and rubber insert design.

Important mounting note: Models equipped with passenger footpegs will require OEM accessory floorboard mounts. Check the motorcycle’s existing passenger setup and required mounting hardware before installation.

Multidirectional Pyramid-Top Rubber Inserts

The floorboards feature black rubber inserts with a multidirectional pyramid-top pattern. This textured surface is designed to help provide slip resistance and foot traction during street riding. The rubber inserts complement the aluminum construction and black finish, creating a consistent appearance across the platform.

Stock-Style Installation

These Instigator floorboards are designed to replace stock Harley-Davidson floorboards and mount like the original components using stock hardware. Confirm that the floorboards match your motorcycle’s year, model, and mounting arrangement before installation.

Passenger configurations that use footpegs require OEM accessory floorboard mounts. Follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions and verify that the floorboards and associated controls are secure and operate correctly before riding.
